How to create an electronic version of your signature
Step 1: Write your signature on a piece of paper.
Step 2: When you are happy with your signature you can take a picture of it with your phone or scan it into your computer.
Step 3: You can then email it to yourself if needed.
How to create an electronic version of your signature in Paint or Paintbrush
Step 1: Start up Paint/Paintbrush and use the pencil tool (shown below) to draw your signature.
Step 2: Save your signature by pressing Ctrl+S or “File” and then “Save”. A dialogue box will / should now appear on your screen. Select an easy to remember location and name for your file.
Adding your signature to the plagiarism declaration
Step 1: Open the Microsoft Word document containing the plagiarism declaration.
Step 2: Click above the signature line to ensure your picture inserts here.
Step 3: To insert your signature click on the “INSERT” tab as shown below.
Step 4: The insert ribbon should now appear. Locate the "Pictures" button and click on it.
Step 5: Locate your digital signature.
Step 6: Select it and press "Insert".
Step 7: Your signature should pop up in the correct place. Otherwise, position it by clicking and dragging it.
Drawing your signature into the document
You can also "Scribble" your signature into the document and format it if necessary.
Step 1: Click "INSERT", "Shapes", and look for "Scribble".
Step 2: Draw it in.
Your signature should now be correctly placed. You may now save your document, and upload it to the VLE.
